The 2007 NBA All-Star Game will be played on February 18. The 10 starters were selected by fan votes while the reserves (14, seven from each Conference) were chosen by the 30 NBA head coaches, who were asked
to vote for seven players in their respective conferences -- two
guards, two forwards, one center and two players regardless of
position. Coaches were not permitted to vote for players from their own
team.
Shaquille O’Neal was selected to his 14th straight All-Star team, tying Jerry West (14; 1961-1974) and Karl Malone (14; 1988-2002) for the most consecutive selections. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar holds the record for most All-Star Game selections with 19
