2010-11 Coach of the Year

The best coach of the season is selected by a national panel of pro basketball writers and broadcasters. Since 1967 the throphy is called "Red Auerbach Trophy", named that way for the former Boston Celtics coach who led the his team to 9 NBA titles.

In 2008-09 Mike Brownt was selected Coach of the Year after his Cleveland Cavaliers ended the season with the best record in the league. In 2009-10 Scott Brooks was awarded for his exellent work with a very young and talented Thunder roster. Tom Thibodeau got the league's best record and this award in 2010-11
