Here you have the list with the top 55 performances in the NBA Regular Season. Twenty three of them turned out to be the NBA champions, among them 7 Celtics squads, 7 Lakers and 5 Bulls.

The 1996 Chicago Bulls led by Michael Jordan are the best in NBA history with 72 victories and the 1972 Lakers with Jerry West and Wilt Chamberlain on their roster are second with 69 victories that included an NBA record 33-game winning streak.

The 2006-07 Mavericks had a great season that sent them to the 4th place here, but they also became the first number 1 seeded team to lose a best-of-seven first round series (at the hands of the Warriors). The 61-21 Suns were the second-best in 2006-07 and are 14th in this list.

The trio of Garnett, Allen and Pierce made the 2007-08 Celtics 5h before winning the Championship. Then it was Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol's Lakers turn in 2009 with 65 victories in the 7th place. Also from the 2009 season here you can find Lebron James Cavaliers (5th) and the Celtics (12th). In 2010 only the Cavaliers won enough games to be here.
